Levofloxacin is a broad spectrum fluoroquinolone anti-infective agent. Levoxa is used in adults with infections of mild or moderate severity. Levoxa is indicated for the treatment of: Acute sinusitis, Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, Community-acquired pneumonia, Urinary chronic bacterial prostatitis, Skin and soft tissue infections. The duration of therapy varies according to the infection. The tablets may be taken during meals or between meals. Levoxa tablets should be taken at least two hours before or after: iron salts, antacids and sucralfate preparations since reduction of absorption can occur.
