Lisa Warrington receiving the award certificate for best M. Pharm presentation by Actavis VP Africa, Daniel Vella Friggieri
Actavis has awarded Lisa Warrington a sponsorship to an overseas conference for the best M Pharm project presentation entitled ‘Evaluation requests for advice from community pharmacists’ by final year students reading a degree in Master of Pharmacy at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Malta. The sponsorship was presented by Daniel Vella Friggieri, Actavis, vice-president Africa during the closing ceremony of the 2015 Annual Pharmacy Symposium.
All the presentations were assessed by an expert panel for presentation and communication delivery and for credibility and tangibility of research methods and results. The 5th issue of the Journal of EuroMed Pharmacy (JEMP) was also distributed during the symposium for which Actavis is the sole sponsor. These initiatives are part of a collaborative agreement between Actavis and the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Malta.
The pharmacy symposium is an annual appointment where final year M. Pharm students have the opportunity to present their project research and findings. The 2015 Annual Pharmacy Symposium was held between the 2nd and 6th of March at the Aula Magna, Valletta Campus University of Malta.
