Description:

Valsartan is an Angiotensin-II antagonist which is used to treat patients suffering from hypertension and is indicated to improve survival following recent (12 hours – 10 days) myocardial infarction.

Valsartan is an orally active specific Angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It acts selectively on the AT1 receptor subtype, which is responsible for the known actions of Angiotensin II.
