Description:
Siprox is a broad spectrum antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone group. It acts via inhibition of DNA-gyrase, which is necessary for bacterial cell division. The drug is active against many species of bacteria, including Gram-negative rods (including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Moraxella catarrhalis). Siprox is very effective against Neisseria gonorrhoea. Siprox is used to treat various types of infections, including urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, bone infections, gonorrhoea and prostate infections.
